Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony.
The mandala appears to us in all aspects of life, the Earth, the Sun, the Moon and more obviously the circles of life encompassing friends, family and communities.
Mandala’s also contain geometric patterns which reflect and represent the geometry of the entire Universe.
They usually have a focal point in the center which is known as the seed and is the starting point to the creation of the Mandala and all of life.
A diya Mandala... one of my favorites... ๐
Mandala’s are sacred pieces of artwork which are used to evoke healing, spiritual development and meditation.
All Mandala’s are created from the center out and take on their own shapes, colors and patterns depending on the message or healing that is being evoked.
It is believed that when you create, color or look at a Mandala that you are silently programming the mind to take on the essence of oneness or completion.
Mandalas should be allowed to emerge effortlessly, with enjoyment and creativity. Leave any judgement to one side and let your mandala develop, however long it takes.
Look at the mandala and feel its energy. It will be alive with the intention you made at the start. When you contemplate the drawing, you may notice elements you didn't see while creating it.
This confirms you were in right-brain, intuitive activity - always a good sign. The meaning of these elements will come to you in time through contemplation, and often in surprising ways.
Once you've created your mandala, put it somewhere you'll see it every day - on the wall, or as a screen saver on your phone, computer or laptop - so that it can work its powerful magic on your life.
Here, I have given my collection of freehand mandala drawings... My meditation... ๐
Create your own mandala and feel the magic.
Happy Creating !!
