     Decoration is the most important thing for the celebration. The colorful Rangoli or beautiful Kolam brings good luck and prosperity into our home. It welcomes and creates positive vibes to people who come to our home.

The diyas add beauty to this design. Its a multi color floral rangoli. The small flowers are created with cotton bud technique. The Flowers in the small bowl in the middle is my favorite... 😊

7. A simple freehand kolam is my all time favorite... 😊 The flowers and diyas add beauty to this design.

    I always love to create floral designs which will reflect happiness of any occasions... 😊 Here posting a few floral rangoli designs for your views...

1. One of my most favorite rangoli. Created this design inspired from an embroidery work. The colors used are bright and more appealing. The attractive and decorative rangoli can be created for any special occasions.

2. A rose rangoli with leaves and small flowers. The small flowers and leaves are created using cotton bud techniques. The candles are placed around the rangoli to light up the design. 

3. A floral design with white circle. The intricate designs are made with cotton bud and matchstick. Simple rangoli for any special occasions.

4. A lotus rangoli, decorated with real flowers and candles. Pink is my favorite. The pink and green combination is my favorite. The white swirls enhance design and attracts everyone. A unique design to adorn your home for any special occasion.

5. Very simple floral design without dots. Flowers are created using finger technique and filled with colors. The middle part is decorated with real flowers.

6. Simple three flowers rangoli and the intricate designs are created with cotton bud technique.

Deepam Kolangal

     Karthigai Deepam festival is just around the corner... Everyone is gearing up for the festival...
Here, few kolam collections to decorate your home on this beautiful occasion... 😊

     Karthigai Deepam or Thirukarthigai is the festival of lights. It is considered auspicious, lighting Clay Diyas (Agar Vilakku) in every house... It's believed that the lights will bring shine into everyone's life!

     My mom usually draw a kolam with wet rice flour or white kolam powder, for this occasion. And she will decorate the kolam with Kuthu Vilakku in the middle and other clay diyas are placed around the kolam... It will be more beautiful and elegant... 😊 A treat to our eyes!
I used to help her for lighting lamps and diyas... Wonderful memories...😊

    Nowadays, I too love to make wet rice flour kolam on this occasion... The thickness of flour will make the appearance of kolam bold and nice! The white kolam will create a magic !

Warli Dance

     Warli Painting... One of my most favorite art... Love to draw warli art... The best thing is it doesn't require any prior experience in drawing and painting...

     Warli Dance...dance by men and women holding their hands for the music in a circle formation...
Here, sharing a step by step pictures for Warli Dance...

   

1. Draw four circles for body, head and legs... I haven't used any particular measurement... Decide the measurement according to the space you choose for drawing... 

2. Draw the body part.

3. Draw the body for Warli by adjusting space equally and fill the body part for Warli.

4. Draw heads above the body of Warli.

5. Draw hands and legs to complete the drawing...

I used sharpie (Ultra Fine) markers on white paper...
